Alex from Target Hollywood Agents Offers

Alex from Target: The Viral Bieber Mesmerizing The World

The digital world is in a frenzy after a girl posted a picture of a boy who works at Target. No, really.

Alex from Target is very important.

I know this because I've just been to his Twitter feed, and he's had a message from Ellen. Yes, Ellen who has that Ellen show.

This can only mean one thing. Ellen wants him on the Ellen show, which means that he's so famous that she might get very nice ratings.

You, though, might not yet know who Alex from Target is.The story has it that a girl called Rims (well, that's what she's called on Twitter, at least) espied Alex from Target in, um, Target.

She took a picture of him and posted it Sunday to Twitter. She accompanied it with these words: "YOOOOOOOOOO." I know that's just one word, but there's surely a vast array of sentiment buried within it.

I assume Rims was mesmerized because Alex from Target looks just a little like Justin Bieber and therefore she wanted to go with him for a joyride in a very fast car. My assumption might be mistaken, however.

Little did Rims surely know, however, that Alex from Target might soon be famous in the Pacific Rim. Analytics site Topsy swooned that there were 994,214 tweets about Alex from Target today.

Even more uplifting was that Target has decided to rename itself Target from Alex.

I lie a little, of course. However, the company did leap onto its own bandwagoning shopping cart by tweeting: "We heart Alex, too!" The company added the hashtag #alexfromtarget, of course.

But really, how did this all happen? How could this unassuming young lad suddenly become more important than tomorrow's election? Worse, how can it be that, even after hours of world tweeting, he hadn't been identified?

The San Antonio Express muttered that Alex from Target is Alex from a North Texas Target. But no one offered more. Naturally, I have contacted Target to ask please would the company just spill the beans and keep me away from the nagging questions of a thousand teenagers and those who behave like a thousand teenagers. (Of course, this could all be one big advertising mullarkey organized by Target.)

Even Google has begun tweeting about Alex from Target. So if even Google cares, there must a national security interest in unveiling this youth, even against his will.

In a few days' time, very few people will care who Alex from Target is. He, however, will hopefully have signed a modeling contract -- come on, Target, step up before Safeway grabs him. Or, gosh, Walmart -- and made enough money to have his hair coiffed by mermaids for life.

Humanity, meanwhile, will look to crown the next viral hero. Because humanity needs heroes and it needs them daily.

Updated at 8:25 a.m. PT November 4: A Target spokeswoman told me that Alex is indeed a "Target team member." She added: "Usually our new weekly ad is what gets people tweeting on Sundays. So imagine our surprise...when one of our Target team members managed to flood the internet with images of red and khaki without even trying. We are proud to have a great team, including #AlexFromTarget, and are in contact with his store and family. We will keep you posted if he is available for comment, but for now, we would ask you to respect his privacy." Source

Interstellar Big Hero 6 Box Office

‘Interstellar’ Reports Grosses Before Weekend Showdown Against ‘Big Hero 6′

UPDATE, THURSDAY, 10:13 AM: Interstellar hasn’t quite broken through box office’s gravitational pull. The Christopher Nolan sci-fi opera, which opened on 249 screens before a 3,500 screen invasion Friday, took in less than originally Paramount originally reported in the first two days of its limited opening.

The pic collected $1.35M over the first two days, distributor Paramount reports this morning, re-adjusted from yesterday’s gross of $1.5M+ for Tuesday night/Wednesday day. That’s about $5,400 per screen and slightly less than the studio reported originally, prompting many to drop the three-day forecast from $55M-$60M to $52M-$55M.

Still, with a running time of nearly three hours, the studio has framed the Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway as a long-distance runner, not a sprinter. And Fandango reports that its outpacing pre-sales of Gravity, which took off to $55.7M on its way to $274M. The picture bowed on election night Tuesday.

PREVIOUSLY, WEDNESDAY, 3:30 PM: One of the year’s most enticing box office showdowns occurs this weekend, but the tete-a-tete is between Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi opus Interstellar and Disney’s animated smorgasbord Big Hero 6 — two very different films which are vying for the No. 1 spot this weekend. In one corner is Nolan, a modern-day Kubrick among fanboys who is one of the few directors who outshines his stars on the marquee. Over just eight films, he’s grossed more than $3.5B worldwide.

Fitting, then, that the IMAX devotee will get the largest rollout ever for the oversized format: 760 theaters worldwide (369 domestically), including screenings at some of IMAX’s museum-based theaters, a rarity for a commercial film. The film began with a trickle into about 5% of overall theaters Tuesday — Paramount didn’t release its numbers until late today and reported Tuesday nights and all day Wednesday together for a $1.5M-plus estimate which they are saying represents roughly 5% to 8% of the total box office weekend. We heard that it grossed only around $500,000 last night (Tuesday nights are soft anyway and this was election night) but nevertheless, they are downgrading earlier estimates of between $55M to $60M to a readjusted $52.5M to $57.5M. It expands to 3,500 screens on Friday.

Paramount says it would be happy with $50M, a likely low threshold for a helmsman whose movies average more than $203M in domestic revenues. Fandango is reporting that it’s outselling Gravity (which opened at $55.7M last October), Nolan’sInception ($62.7M in the summer) and Prometheus ($51M in June of 2012) in the same point of the sales cycle. It goes wide internationally this weekend with the exception of China (Nov. 12) and Japan (Nov. 22). China was both Gravity andInception’s No. 1 market. Expect this one to make about 63% of its total gross from the international marketplace as Gravity grossed 61% of its worldwide total andInception 64%.

Studio estimates put the budget of Interstellar at around $165M but others have it pegged much higher. One of the biggest challenges for this well-promoted film (they even have banners inside airport terminals and also landed the Time magazine cover) could be the film’s run time; at nearly three hours long, exhibitors will have fewer screenings than its weekend foe, Hero. Paramount is handling domestic distribution for Interstellar and WB international. Will be interesting to see how the previews will affect the three-day grosses.

Interstellar, which stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, is rated PG-13 and is tracking strongest with males 35 and older. The movie is earning solid-if-not-stellar reviews, amassing a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s running behind in the female demo compared to Gravity (but that one had female fave Sandra Bullock as one of the leads).

With better reviews, Hero has taken something of a back seat to Interstellar mania but doesn’t mean it isn’t standing toe-to-toe. One advantage it has is that it appeals to young girls who often travel hit the theater in packs. Like Guardians Of The Galaxy, the Don Hall-Chris Williams directed Hero follows the antics of first-time crime fighters and, like Guardians, could be moving under the radar in Interstellar’s wake as the family audiences are harder to track. With a larger release of 3,700 screens,Hero, too, appears headed for a $55M-$60M bow.

Hero also is scoring stronger reviews right now, an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, which could be good for its multiplier, which runs higher with kids and families. According to Fandango, Hero is currently outselling previous Disney hits, Tangled (which opened to $48.7M during Thanksgiving 2010) to and Wreck-It Ralph ($49M in Nov. 2012). It opens Thursday at 7 PM in 3,761 theaters.

Regardless of derby winner, this may mark one of the few weekends when the silver medal will do just fine. Lincoln, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Bridesmaids never held the No. 1 crown, but cruised well past $160M domestically. Last year, Brad Pitt’sWorld War Z fell to another animated entry, Monsters University. The zombies still collected $202M. And the showdown should continue fall’s robust rebound, which is running 5% ahead of fall last year. Source

CMA Awards Backstage

Everything You Missed Backstage at The CMA Awards

Brad Paisley, in back in hat, and Jennifer Nettles join Michael McDonald and the
Doobie Brothers for 'Takin' It to the Streets' to conclude the 48th annual CMA Awards.

NASHVILLE — The CMA Awards were held Wednesday, and it was a big night for country stars like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. But there was a whole lot more to the show than the awards and the performances that aired on TV.

USA TODAY's Brian Mansfield was backstage, capturing everything you didn't see on TV.

Tim Tebow loves country: "I've been a huge fan of country music since I was a kid," the NFL star said after he presented an award.

Brett Eldredge, daredevil: To celebrate his two No. 1 singles, Don't Ya and Beat of the Music, Eldredge went sky-driving and shark-diving. But he hadn't made a death-defying plan for winning the CMA award for new artist of the year. "I've got to do something really crazy," he said backstage. "If anybody has any ideas, bring it on."

Wardrobe malfunction: Song of the year winner Kacey Musgraves had a wardrobe malfunction right before her performance with Loretta Lynn. "Right before I sang, my panties totally came off," she said backstage. "They were the stick-on kind. They were stuck on, and then they weren't. I had to rip them off and throw them somewhere. If you see them, they're mine."

A song for everyone: Musgraves called her song of the year Follow Your Arrow "an anthem for all kinds of people" that couldn't make her more proud. "For a song that I was told could never and would never be a single, it just blows my mind. It gives me a lot of faith that people still love connecting with a message and spreading something when they love it."

Some assembly required: The light-up outfits top vocal group Little Big Town wore during their medley of Day Drinking and Bang Bang with Ariana Grande required "so many people and so many wires in so many places," says the group's Kimberly Schlapman. "It was a fragile and delicate situation. We couldn't bend over or turn to the side or we would short out." Adds Karen Fairchild, "You don't just sew light that does that into a costume. It takes a lot of planning."

Record breaker: With her fifth consecutive CMA award for female vocalist of the year, Lambert broke a record in the category set by Reba McEntire. Backstage, Lambert paid tribute to the singer. "Whenever I'm around her, I try to just shut up and listen, because I know I can learn from every word she says, every move she makes." Lambert has won 11 CMA awards total, more than any other woman.

Big winning streak: As he sat in the audience before winning his fifth male-vocalist award, Blake Shelton leafed through the CMA Awards program and looked at the names of previous winners. "I was looking through there, and I was seeing names I was excited about – George Jones, Ronnie Milsap. I can't believe this is more than Ronnie Milsap. It seemed like he was on there 20 times. And Vince Gill, George Strait." Both those singers also have won the award five times. "To be in that category, with those two guys, that's beyond a dream come true," Shelton says. "That's stupid."

A little respect: Winning entertainer of the year — his first CMA in any category — made Luke Bryan feel he had earned the respect of the CMA and its voters. "I have longed and sought after many years to get one of these in my hands," he said backstage. He called the win "a ginormous deal, something that I could not express out on stage when I was winning." Source

ACDC drummer Phil Rudd charged with attempting to hire a hit man to kill two people

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd charged with attempting to hire a hit man to kill two people

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Phil Rudd, who has drummed for AC/DC for decades, was charged in New Zealand court Thursday morning with drug possession and trying to hire a hitman to kill two people.

Pictures show a bedraggled Rudd, shoeless and in a tattered sweater, arriving at a Tauranga District Court for a hearing, where he was accused of attempting to arrange the murders of two people, threatening to kill a complainant, and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis.

According to local reports, Rudd appeared stunned, and didn’t say a word or offer a plea while standing in the defendant’s dock. The Australian-born drummer, who was released following the hearing, was detained by police after they raided his posh home earlier Thursday morning. At the hearing, Judge Louis Bidois ordered Rudd to have no further contact with the man he allegedly attempted to hire to do the hits. Authorities have not released the identity of the alleged hitman or of the intended victims.

If convicted of the crimes, which allegedly occurred on Sept. 25 and Sept 26, Rudd faces 10 years in prison.

The allegations come at an already-difficult time for the band. Amid plans for an album release and additional touring, the band’s founding guitarist, Malcolm Young, just quit after the revelation he has dementia. The charges against Rudd now place the future of one of rock’s greatest acts even further into question.

Those who know the musician expressed dismay at the allegations. Jesse Fink, who authored a biography on his band called, “The Youngs: The Brothers Who Built AC/DC,” told the Daily Mail Australia that he was “stunned, absolutely stunned.” He added Rudd had “deteriorated” in the past several years. Ex-manager Michael Browning added the allegations were “a bit of a shock, but there you go.”

Rudd’s no stranger to the New Zealand judicial process, nor even to Judge Bidois. Rudd was first convicted or possessing 25 grams of marijuana in 2010. Then he got into a bizarre pay dispute over $65,000 worth of T-shirts connected to his failed restaurant, Phil’s Place. Later, in March of this year, he faced off with the same judge. The drummer was charged with deliberately lying about his drug history to renew his private pilot’s license. Rudd, who at one time held a helicopter pilot’s license, allowed it expire and offered an unusual explanation: His family got in the way.

“You can have kids or a helicopter; you know how it goes,” Rudd then told the judge, who acquitted the musician despite some reservations. Rudd elaborated: “I was back on the road for three tours, worked harder than a Bering Sea fisherman, and I made a lot of money and thought I would buy a helicopter. I’ve got everything else. Have you seen my garage?” Source

Kenakan Gaun Terbuka, Payudara Margot Robbie Ngintip

Jakarta: Nipple slip kerap terjadi pada para selebriti Hollywood, apalagi untuk mereka yang gemar mengenakan gaun terbuka di bagian dada. Hal tersebut juga terjadi pada Margot Robbie belum lama ini.

Bintang film 'Wolf of Wall Street' tampil sangat menawan ketika menghadiri acara Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, Selasa (4/11).

Source

Ariana Grande, Little Big Town perform ‘Bang Bang’ together at the CMA Awards. It was weird

Ariana Grande, Little Big Town perform ‘Bang Bang’ together at the CMA Awards. It was weird

No one knew exactly what to expect when it was announced that pop star Ariana Grande would join country quartet Little Big Town for a performance at the CMA Awards in Nashville. While the CMAs have had cross-genre performances in the past, this seemed especially weird.

First, members of Little Big Town (Kimberly Schlapman, Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Jimi Westbrook) got the stage to themselves with glow-in-the-dark band uniforms and a drumline as they performed their latest hit, the groovy “Day Drinking.” Not a Grande in sight.

Then, suddenly appearing at the back of the stage and looking wildly out of place, Grande emerged wearing her signature sky-high ponytail and a matching light-up outfit. She segued into “Bang Bang,” her collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj.

Grande strolled over and continued singing as the quartet joined her on the song. She stood in the middle of the group, somewhat awkwardly dancing between Schlapman and Fairchild, and they all stood in a row as they belted out the song together. It was impossible to stop thinking the obvious as you watched: “What is Ariana Grande doing at the CMAs?”

Vocally? It sounded impressive, as Grande has a great voice and LBT’s harmonies are heavenly. But as much as it got the audience members on their feet in the middle of the show, the performance felt especially random. Source

Carrie Underwood 2014 CMA Awards Performance

Carrie Underwood Glows During 2014 CMA Awards Performance

Carrie is a woman of many talents! The soon-to-be mother not only hosted the 48th annual Country Music Association Awards, but she also took the stage to perform her new single, ‘Something in the Water.’ Did you love her performance?

Carrie Underwood can do no wrong! The 31-year-old American Idol alum stepped on stage at Nashville Tennessee’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 4 and absolutely blew us away with her amazing vocals (like usual!). Carrie definitely brought her pregnancy glow to the stage in her umpteenth outfit of the night, a floral nude dress while she belted out her hit song, “Something in the Water!”

Carrie Underwood’s Performance At CMA Awards

It was a huge night for Carrie. After her cohost, Brad Paisley revealed that she was having a baby boy, she took the stage to perform her brand new song — and it couldn’t have sounded better. She stood on a black stage with lights flashing and smoke everywhere — so romantic!

She was even joined by a chorus of women singing behind her toward the end. We’ve got to say, this look was one of our favorites too — that flowing gown was absolutely flawless and really bought out that pregnancy glow and baby bump!

When Carrie headed onto the Today show in September, she explained that the song had a strong message, much like her 2005 hit, “Jesus Take the Wheel.”

It’s a “joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and waking up and having that a-ha moment and your life being different from that moment forward,” she said. The song is her first new release since her 2012 album, Blown Away and will be featured on her upcoming album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1. The two-disc overview of her career comes out Dec. 9, and includes her classics, “Last Name,” “Inside Your Heaven,” and “Don’t Forget to Remember Me.” Source
